MOSCOW, Apr 15 (PRIME) -- Railroad giant Russian Railways has filed a bid at an auction for privatization of Greek railway operator TrainOSE, an official representative of the company told PRIME on Friday.
“We are confirming that we have filed a bid for the pre-qualification round of an auction for the purchase of Greek railway company TrainOSE,” the representative said.
The second stage of the auction – submission of binding offers – will be held on May 31.
Greek company GEK TERNA, which was earlier in consortium with Russian Railways, has filed a separate bid at the auction. Italian railway operator Trenitalia has also filed a bid, but China’s Cosco has not yet submitted its bid.
